about

Songs with animals, and the appropriate--and silly--animal sounds are great exercises for your young child's vocal skills. Your child is learning language from listening to YOU, but he can also benefit from listening to, and trying to mimic, your crazy mooing, bleating, and neighing. Plus, if you sing with the windows open, your neighbors might think you've gone "sustainable" and started a neighborhood artisinal farm!

lyrics

I bought me a cat,
the cat pleased me.
I fed my cat under yonder tree.
The cat said fiddle-dee-dee.
The dog said ruff, ruff, ruff, ruff.
The sheep said ba-ah, ba-ah.
The pig said oink, oink, oink, oink.
The cow said mo-o-o-o.
The horse said nay-ay, nay-ay.
The baby said mommy, mommy.
The mommy said shh, shh.
The daddy said honey, honey.
The cat said fiddle-dee-dee.

Listening to somebody else sing a song is fine, but singing on your own and with your family can be much more fulfilling and fun! ... more
